This Cancellations Policy applies to all bookings made with DC Monuments Tour (“Company,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) through our website https://www.dcmonumentstour.com, by phone, or by email.
By booking a tour, you agree to this Cancellations Policy.
1. Customer-initiated Cancellations
1.1 Public Tours
- Cancellations must be made at least 24 hours prior to the scheduled tour time.
- Cancellations made within 24 hours of the scheduled tour time are considered late cancellations.
- No-shows are treated as cancellations made at the time of departure.
1.2 Private Tours
Due to advance vehicle reservations and staffing commitments:
- Cancellations must be made at least 24 hours prior to the scheduled tour time.
- Cancellations made within 24 hours are considered late cancellations.
2. How To Cancel
All cancellation requests must be submitted:

A cancellation is considered valid only after you receive confirmation from our team.
The time of cancellation will be determined based on when the written request is received.
3. Late Arrivals
Guests are required to arrive at least 5 minutes before the scheduled departure time.
- Tours depart promptly at the scheduled time.
- Late arrivals that miss departure will be treated as no-shows.
Missed tours due to late arrival are considered same-day cancellations.
4. No-show Policy
Failure to appear at the designated meeting location at the scheduled departure time is considered a no-show.
No-shows are treated as cancellations at the time of departure.
5. Rescheduling
Rescheduling requests:
- Must be made at least 24 hours prior for public tours.
- Must be made at least 24 hours prior for private tours.
- Are subject to availability.
Rescheduling within the restricted time window may not be permitted.
6. Company-initiated Cancellations
DC Monuments Tour reserves the right to cancel tours due to:
- Severe or unsafe weather conditions
- Safety concerns
- Mechanical issues
- Government-imposed restrictions
- National monument closures
- Insufficient bookings
- Events beyond our reasonable control
In such cases, customers will be notified as soon as reasonably possible.
7. Weather Conditions
Tours operate in most weather conditions.
We reserve the sole discretion to determine whether weather conditions require cancellation for safety reasons.
Customer-initiated cancellations due to weather are subject to standard cancellation timelines.
8. Government & Site Closures
We are not responsible for:
- Government shutdowns
- National monument closures
- Road closures
- Security restrictions
If closures occur, tours may be modified accordingly.
9. Group Bookings
Special cancellation terms may apply for large groups or custom bookings. These terms will be communicated at the time of booking and supersede standard cancellation timelines.
10. Policy Changes
We reserve the right to update this Cancellations Policy at any time. Updated versions will be posted with a revised “Last Updated” date.
