This Refund Policy applies to all bookings made with DC Monuments Tour (“Company,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) through our website https://www.dcmonumentstour.com, by phone, or via email.

By booking a tour, you agree to this Refund Policy.

1. ELIGIBILITY FOR REFUNDS

Refund eligibility depends on:

  • The type of tour booked (public or private)
  • The timing of the cancellation
  • The circumstances of the request

Refunds are issued only in accordance with the terms outlined below.

2. STANDARD PUBLIC TOURS

  • Customers who cancel 24 hours or more before the scheduled tour time are eligible for a full refund.
  • Cancellations made within 24 hours of the scheduled tour time are not eligible for a refund.
  • No-shows are non-refundable.

3. PRIVATE TOURS

Due to advance scheduling, vehicle reservations, and staffing commitments:

  • Cancellations made 24 hours or more before the scheduled tour time are eligible for a full refund.
  • Cancellations made within 24 hours are non-refundable.

If a non-refundable deposit was required at booking, that amount will not be refunded.

4. COMPANY-INITIATED CANCELLATIONS

If DC Monuments Tour cancels a tour due to:

  • Severe weather conditions
  • Safety concerns
  • Mechanical issues
  • Government restrictions or closures
  • Insufficient bookings
  • Events beyond our reasonable control

Customers will be offered:

  • A full refund, OR
  • The option to reschedule at no additional cost

Refunds are limited strictly to the amount paid for the tour. We are not responsible for travel costs, accommodation expenses, or other incidental losses.

5. WEATHER CONDITIONS

Tours operate rain or shine unless conditions are determined to be unsafe.

If a tour proceeds as scheduled and a customer chooses not to attend due to weather, standard refund rules apply and no refund will be issued.

6. LATE ARRIVALS & NO-SHOWS

  • Guests who arrive late and miss the tour departure are not eligible for a refund.
  • Failure to attend at the scheduled time is considered a no-show and is non-refundable.

7. MODIFIED ITINERARIES

Monument access, road closures, or security restrictions may require route or stop modifications.

No partial refunds will be issued for:

  • Altered itineraries
  • Temporary monument closures
  • Restricted access imposed by authorities

8. REFUND PROCESSING

Approved refunds:

  • Will be processed within 7–10 business days
  • Will be returned to the original payment method

Actual posting times depend on your bank or card issuer.

We do not refund:

  • Processing fees (where applicable)
  • Foreign transaction fees
  • Currency conversion differences

9. CHARGEBACKS & PAYMENT DISPUTES

By booking a tour, you agree to contact DC Monuments Tour directly to resolve any refund concerns before initiating a chargeback or payment dispute.

Initiating a chargeback after agreeing to this Refund Policy may result in:

  • Submission of this policy as evidence to the payment processor
  • Recovery of administrative fees where permitted by law

10. NON-TRANSFERABLE BOOKINGS

Bookings are non-transferable unless approved in writing by DC Monuments Tour.
